Tribe Close In On Kobayashi

Tuesday, November 20, 2007

The Indians are closing in on a deal with relief pitcher Masahide Kobayashi. He has taken his physical, and an announcement is expected tomorrow. Yabuta, the other Japanese reliever signed, is one his way to the Royals while another pitcher, Kazuo Fukumori, is also drawing interest.

"Is one his way to the Royals" ???

You say 'the other' but then mention a third.

Do a quick proofread.

Eli, everything I read on Kobayshi is good, can he have the same impact as Okijima? Also what is going on with Jason Bay coming over to the Indians? He is a must for the Indians to grab.

Eli, everything I read on Kobayski is good, any chance he can get us that same impact Okijima gave the Red Sox? Is he a lefty or a righty? Also what is going on with Jason Bay coming over to the Indians? I believe we need that kind of offensive punch and Bay would be a perfect fit.

he is very effective, and should seem some success. i think he will be effective as an one inning guy from the pen.

with Masa, Betencourt, Perez, and Lewis backing up Borowski, the Indians should have another outstading bullpen. I was happy when I read about this signing today.
